Christmas and New Year Bin Collection Calendar from Wealden District Council

Wealden’s bin collection calendars are going paperless

Wealden District Council (WDC) will be letting residents know about seasonal changes to the Christmas and New year waste and recycling collection by leaving a hanger on everyone’s general rubbish bin during December. As collection days will not be changing in the New year, they will not be sending out printed calendars by post. Residents who would like a reminder about collections days will be encouraged to sign up to MyAlerts, WDC's personalised weekly email newsletter, or visit the Wealden website. Residents can also download their own calendar for printing from the Wealden website from 2 December.

It costs Wealden District Council more than £30,000 each year to post a printed version of a calendar to every household in the District. This uses a tonne of paper.

Residents with no online access can phone the Wealden District Council Customer Service Team on 01323 443322. WDC will then ensure they receive full information about their collection dates in suitable format.
